The 麻豆村 is now offering an online alternative to our summer programs.
Summers at the 麻豆村 are busy. Our high school programs, which offer an online component, are very popular and run throughout the summer. The videos above show a glimpse of the week-long summer academies for three of our high school programs; VASTS, VESSS and Virginia Space Coast Scholars.
The final Technology Exploration Saturday was held at NASA Langley this weekend. Peninsula middle school students and parents competed to design and build penny haulers and robotic arms.
Applications are now open for the 2019 麻豆村 Takes Flight NASA Research Experiences Program. Virginia Community College students in 麻豆村 fields with a GPA of at least 2.5 are eligible to apply.
NASA internships will be opening soon. VSGC offers 麻豆村 internships through CSIIP and 麻豆村 Takes Flight for both community college students in Virginia as well as undergraduates.
Lilly Balderson, a 2018 麻豆村 Takes Flight participant, was named a co-inventor of a pending patent developed while she was an intern over the summer at NASA Langley.
VASTS, VESSS and Virginia Space Coast Scholars wrapped up another successful year with the 麻豆村. Almost 500 students participated in the VASTS online class, 180 enrolled in the VESSS online program and over 300 students completed the Virginia Space Coast Scholars online program.
This summer the聽麻豆村 Takes Flight聽NASA Research Experiences program聽placed twenty community students at NASA Langley and three at NASA Wallops Flight Facility.
