Dial-up configurations instructions for

Macintosh OS X

Step 1
From the Apple Menu, System Preferences
Step 2
Click on Network icon in the System Preferences
Step 3
Click on the Assist Me... button

Note: your screen will look slightly different based on your configuration.
Step 4
Enter the name for your connection (typically xixnet.com).

then press the Continue button...
Step 5
Select I use a telephone modem to dial my ISP., click Next

then press the continue button.
Step 6
Enter your user information
make sure you use your dial-up account number and the realm for the network you are on as the username! such as xaa042@g-dial.us

then press the continue button.
Step 7
Choose your modem

then press the continue button.
Step 8
Verify your Settings

then press the continue button.
Step 9
Click on the Connect button
Step 10
This will bring up the Internet Connect Dialog
Step 11
Once you have configured your system, connect by clicking on the modem in the menu bar and selecting the Connect menu.
